MK Masterwork was established

MK Masterwork was successfully listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (SZSE).
2014
MK Masterwork signed a cooperation agreement with Heidelberg and acquired Heidelberg’s post-press business related to the same product categories. Since then, Masterwork has become Heidelberg’s exclusive global supplier for related post-press equipment, further strengthening its international market position.
2015
The permanent agreement of technology transfer on gravure press R983 was executed between MK and Cerutti Group. Based on it, in Chinese market (including HongKong, Macau and Taiwan) of paper products, MK is authorized permanently all the rights specified in such agreement of producing and sales, meanwhile MK and Cerutti own the same rights both on all these patents and other new developed technology. Masterwork signed a permanent technology transfer agreement with Cerutti Group for the R983 gravure press, obtaining manufacturing and sales rights for the Chinese market, including Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.
The acquisition of Heidelberg’s post-press R&D business also enabled the transfer of 305 patents and strengthened joint product development between domestic and overseas technical teams.
2016
Acquired Heidelberg’s Slovakia plant as its overseas manufacturing base, further enhancing its global manufacturing capability and international competitiveness.
2017
The company officially changed its name to Masterwork Group Co., Ltd.
2018
MK Masterwork established a joint venture with Marbach Group, forming Marbach Masterwork (Tianjin) Die Cutting Tools Company to develop and manufacture high-quality dynamic stripping and blanking tools for die-cutting equipment.
2019
MK Masterwork became the largest shareholder of Heidelberg with an 8.46% shareholding and expanded strategic cooperation in technology, products, intelligent manufacturing, global distribution, financial leasing, and smart packaging solutions.
2020
MK Masterwork established Tianjin Masterwork Health Technology Co., Ltd. and entered the healthcare sector with the independent development and production of disposable facial masks.
The acquisition of Tianjin MingXuan Technology Development Ltd. Was completed, further optimizing business resources and profitability.
2021
MK Masterwork established a joint venture cooperation with Hymson to strengthen collaboration in laser solutions, laser automation, and new energy applications.
In February 2021, our new headquarters officially began operations, integrating intelligent manufacturing, industrial incubation, overseas R&D, and supply chain support functions.
2022
MK Masterwork established its intelligent digitalization business division.
Masterwork and Heidelberg jointly established a new joint venture manufacturing facility planned according to Industry 4.0 standards, covering production processes, factory management, equipment procurement, and quality management systems.
We also successfully developed our first independently controlled equipment solution for the special printing industry.
2023
Our overseas business revenue reached RMB 436 million.
Multiple intelligent factory projects were successfully implemented.
The Great Wall No.1 and Great Wall No.2 gravure printing presses were successfully launched and accepted by customers.
2024
MK Masterwork established Masterwork Green Energy Technology to expand into the new energy sector and successfully achieved investment, production, and product shipment within the same year.
We also completed equipment verification and commercial launch of our green paper bottle packaging solution. The project applied for 12 invention patents and 3 utility model patents while introducing more than ten new proprietary technologies, marking an important advancement in sustainable packaging innovation and environmentally friendly container production.
2025
MK Masterwork celebrated its 30th anniversary.
MK Masterwork and Heidelberg also celebrated 10 years of strategic cooperation at the Tianjin intelligent manufacturing headquarters. During the event, Masterwork Chairman and President Li Li, together with Heidelberg CEO Mr. Jürgen Otto and senior executives from both companies, jointly signed agreements to further expand strategic cooperation.
The expanded partnership focuses on integrated and highly automated end-to-end packaging production solutions, including joint customer development projects, intelligent manufacturing cooperation, and robotic system integration.
MK Masterwork further expanded its healthcare business through the opening of Changkang Hospital and the establishment of a CDMO platform in cooperation with medical partners to strengthen pharmaceutical R&D and production service capabilities.
